since any "chalking" is prohibited in most major cities , that fight graphity and other ways of public street expression, i think effort should be concentrated in a direction of maximum simplicty of the design and universality. Also, how about a common place for markings, like near street light poles, intersections, near mail boxes, so you don't have to wonder through the streets.
