I just went and bought some chalk.

I'd like to hear from more people who have been wardriving for a while, and those who are setting up community wireless efforts. The journalists who have been contacting me have been saying how the warchalking is being viewed with some suspicion by these communities. Is this true? Or are the journos just looking for an angle?

Hi,

I'm a regular wardriver, I think warchalking has two sides, if you mark every ap you find some of them will be closed (use WEP, etc...) but it's great for the community, if I don't mark every ap they wont close them but no community.

For me I will mark the "normal" ones and keep the good ones for me ;-)

I work for a company in the dc area, that allows me to travel the intire city. With this company I set up wireless networks(about 2-3 a week). And I have started to keep track of them. I was thinking of doing something simular to this but have not had the organization. If there are peeps in the dc area who would like to hook up with me and wire(wireless) the city. Shoot me over an email and lets make the dc area totaly wireless. I also drive about 700 miles a week in the city so I can cover a huge area.
